The weather in Melbourne has been so nice recently; it's sunny and warm and the blue skies are gorgeous ! The only problem with this is that ...is I'm more inclined to sit outside and do nothing instead of studying for my upcoming exams. Urghhhhh. Does NOT want exams :(
It would also seem that
Vu and I have been eating quite a bit of yummy food lately ;)
I think it's common for us to always end up spending the majority of our money on food just because we don't feel like eating anything that is too bland or just plain.
So the other day; we bought Carbonara and Chips with Gravy at The Den ... mmmm. It was so yummy ;) Vu seemed to like eating this Carbonara so much that he was complaining that he wanted to eat Carbonara again for the next few days following that. So to satisfy his cravings; I went to his place and we cooked heaps of food..
As you can see on the left; we made a cheesyyy pasta (with ham) ; and on the right is actually what we ate for breakfast hahahah. That is, chips with gravy; pancakes (with cheese) and chicken. (We are too unhealthy) Mmmm. Yeah, I was too full to eat anything after all that delicious food. I love him.
♥ ♥ ♥
What's your favourite type of food? And can you cook it?
ps. go to Pooper's blog to see what she received in my giveaway ;)
Edit: Since Vu and I ate so much unhealthy stuff ..we're going swimming tomorrow :D !

A very very very quick post as I've got cram for tomorrow's test
Today, I followed
awesome Naka's instructions to make a
maid headpiece for this weekend :) I think it turned out quite alright C: ..
especially because I don't have a sewing machine and had to do it by hand :C But yes. Today,
Vu and I pretty much had a
'craft' session all day with fixing lots of things up for
our outfits xD And we're
pretty much done now ..I think :)
♥ ♥ ♥Despite being a Biomed student, I actually love art and craft and etc.Have you made anything useful/fun/etc lately ?

Ah, I really seem to be keeping my promise about blogging every single day for the rest of these holidays at least C:! Anyways, I was supposed to wake up today and go shopping. Instead, I woke up at 11.30am from a call from
Vu and then fell back asleep.
I woke up at 3pm.... in which I realised it was probably too late to go out.
So instead, I decided to make these after seeing them on
http://bakerella.com ! (
I wish mine looked as good as hers!)
Congo Bars!

Mmmmm. These taste really nice with a drizzle of maple syrup. (I have a feeling Vu is going to demand me to bring him some...) Which I added because of the lack of sugar in my delicious bars. (I tend to cut down on sugar a lot because my father is diabetic and he likes to nibble away at anything I make...even if I tell him not to) But yeah. I'm thinking next time, it would be better to have much more stuff ready at hand? Because I didn't have any chocolate chips ready ....so I kind of smashed bits of freddo and dumped them inside. I also didn't have any pecans ...so I used walnuts instead. I think it still tastes nice :D?
♥♥♥
What did you do today?

I was pretty much supposed to blog about this ..two days ago? But it was late because I uhm, became lazy and kind of forgot about it. But yes, on Wednesday 17th, a whole lot of us gathered at Rachel's for dinner:) However, James, Gumji and I turned up early to cook :D

The first meal we prepared was spinach and ricotta cheese cannelloni :) Well James and I were preparing this as Gumji came. All you have to do really is mix in ricotta cheese and spinach (add some salt and pepper) and just stuff them in to cannelloni tubes which you can buy - or make if you want. (We bought)

You then just layer the cannelloni tubes in a bowl, alternating between tomato paste and tubes:) And of course we just covered it with cheese and bake it in the oven:) For ..45 minutes I think it was ..not really sure because I didn't handle the oven and etc.

We cut up some potatoes, carrots and onions. *Note* There's foil under them ..later :) Score and season your pork with salt, pepper, rosemary and olive oil :) And then stick it in the oven. Again, I didn't handle the oven stuff at all so I don't really know.

Note. The more fat there is ..the more...crackle and crisp your pork will look :) After the cooking is done, you can use the juices to make gravy/sauce by just putting it in a sauce pan and adding corn flour, water, sugar and a bit of chicken stock.
Around this time, most people started showing up bearing food.

Fiona and Sylvia brought the two salads. Ken, Siu and Sharon brought dessert (which will be shown later) Winnie also brought dessert (later) And Alex brought drinks :)

We were um, pretty hungry by now :) It was around 7.30PM ? And I hadn't eaten since 9AM haha (: But yeah, the dinner was awesome! It was filled with funny, random moments and delicious food :) :) :)

Look at that pork! :D

Here are the desserts (: I don't have proper photos of them because they weren't that pretty xD *Ken's Boob* But yeh :D There was two chocolate tarts - which was VERY rich; Strawberry Bavarian with cream and jam - VERY SWEET; and a bought fruit cake ! :D
Overall, the day AND night both were awesome ♥

Dearest Nuffnang,There are many reasons why I love you, so much that it is almost impossible to write it all down here in this love letter. I guess the only way to begin even explaining the depth of how far this love goes, I must start from where our relationship began.
(The fact that I wore blue for you is a huge reason already)It was actually through a beautiful friend named *Tienyi* that we met. Although I still have my doubts if you are indeed cheating on me with her, I must thank you for giving me the link to grow closer to this dearest friend. This comes to my first point of why my love goes to you. You seem to have the strength and the ability to bring people together - no matter where they are or who they are. It is possible that Tienyi and I might have drifted apart - although we went to the same high school - if it weren't for you my dearest Nuffie ♥
So yes. We met and as a welcoming gift, you sent me a box full of goodies - which made me fall instantly in love with you. Although you spelled my address wrong, some how your love made its way to my house. Something that I still call fate. But yes, I was beyond happy when I opened that box to find beautiful free gifts. I think that was the moment where I fell in love with you.Of course, using some of those free gifts that you sent (I sometimes wish that I was special enough to be the only one but alas, I found that you sent it to each and every single new person you met.) I made you a delicious cheesy puffs that I really hope you enjoyed.Another reason I love you? Well, that time you introduced me to your awesome friend, Chupa Chups instantly made my day. I don't know how you did it but somehow through this wonderful campaign, I was able to earn money just by blogging! This certainly astounded me and well, made me adore you so much more. Of course it happened again with Don. I don't know how you did it, but you made blogging much more fun than it used to be.But of course, every couple has their fights right? And we had ours countless of times. I really do understand that you have lots and lots of connections and friends across the globe. But it can't help me be suspicious that you might have multiple of wives in Singapore or in Malaysia. Even the wonderful bloggers that you introduced me to through your challenges made me suspicious. I know that *ChocolateSuze* has a fiance, but it can't help but make me feel that you are too close to her. But I guess that is something that I love about you too. You seem to be able to make everyone love you.
With your blogger meet ups (which I am terribly sorry I could not attend!), blogger awards (which I also could not attend due to graduation!) and your featured blogger of the month. It just makes me love you even more that you, beautiful Nuffnang, have the ability to hold events for people who might never have gotten the chance to meet in real life, and allow them to become friends. Actually, it is thanks to you, Nuffie, that I began to connect within this blogosphere.
So, I guess even though your generosity with challenges, competitions, free gifts and prizes..the thing I really do love the most about you is that you connect us. You bring us together. Just like how you introduced me to *Violet*, you have also brought many other bloggers together. I guess I just love that about you. So in gratitude, awe and love, I have written this love letter to you and baked these cupcakes just for you.
Happy Valentines Day Nuffnang ♥ Love always and forever, Melody

Early yesterday morning (early for me at least) I went to Irene's house to make some food - what food? we weren't really sure yet but we were determined to make food :) We wanted to try making macarons, scones, yakisoba, onigiri etc ..but of course, time was not on our side so since I hadn't eaten my breakfast yet ..we settled on crepes :)

It took a really long time because we were having fun decorating and well, following every single line of the recipe (browning the butter etc) ..and I didn't really get to eat anything until about an hour or two later haha. But it was still worth it :)

The left is mine (cheese filled crepe topped with tomato sauce, more cheese and oregano) and it tastes beautifully like pizza ! :D The right is Irene's (filled with peanut butter and banana, and topped with more banana, walnuts and honey) ....she enjoyed it :D

These are the nicely cooked crepes that we produced (well the best at least - we thought too much crepes on one plate didn't look really nice) dusted off with icing sugar and accompanied with berries :)

The rest of the day was of course spent taking silly pictures with Irene's Mac :)
